We’re happily installed in our new nest in Berlin-Charlottenburg (thank you to Michael and Christof) and are ready to take it nice and slow for a few days. Happy holidays to all!
Here is my favorite jazzification of a venerable Christmas carol, Kommet Ihr Hirten by David Gazarov. Please excuse my copyright infringement, powers that be, and take it as a recommendation of a marvellous Christmas CD.

  1. Sounds like a good address!

How many times have you moved now, in the Capital?

Seasons Greetings Anne & Helmut & all the best for 2012!
    Jxx

  2. Merry Christmas to you, too, Joan, and a very happy New Year!
We moved to Potsdam in 2011, but it turned out to be too long a commute into Berlin for Helmut. From January the regional train will be shut down for repairs. I wanted to move to Berlin in the first place, actually. Sanssoucis has an amazing ecology/ range of botanical treasures, which I’ll miss; and I am noticing that the sky here is much brighter at night; but I’m really thrilled to be here.

  3. Hi Anne,

Good for you, and enjoy! That’s an eye-catching picture of the two surgeons at work!

  4. Not Santa Claus? Thought perhaps he got stuck in the chimney and you guys had to do the needy?

    Jxx
    Happy 2012 to you all
