The Island Weekly is going to see “Slumdog Millionaire” at the Cinema on 18 March, 8pm (20 Uhr). This film by Danny Boyle, director of Trainspotting and 28 Days Later, is about Jamal Malik, an 18 year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai, who gets lucky. It’s bound to win the Oscar for top film this year. The biggest challenge will probably be to sit still, since the soundtrack is something else… I’ve reserved tickets. Who wants to come along?
