Earth Wind and Fire’s “September” freshly interpreted by the absolutely wonderful YouTube/ real-life duo Pomplamoose (with the help of grandma and puppet). It cracks me up (bringt mich zum Lachen): You’ll see them eating in practically every video they make, perhaps to remind you that musicians do, indeed, need to eat, just like the rest of us. Still, they are giving away free mp3s on their MySpace page http://www.myspace.com/pomplamoosemusic. A charming case against music piracy.

Their greatest hit to date is “All the Single Ladies“, which includes the additional lyrics “Don’t make me sing this part of the song, the lyrics are so bad, so we’re going to skip ahead to the ‘Single Ladies’ part instead!

Only blue talk and love,
Remember – the true love we share today

Hey hey hey
Ba de ya – say do you remember
Ba de ya – dancing in September
Ba de ya – never was a cloudy day…….there was a
Ba de ya – say do you remember
Ba de ya – dancing in September

Now our bell was ringing, aha
Our souls were singing.
Do you remember every cloudy day – yau!
