Verhörhammer

Posted by Anne on October 28th, 2008

Hee hee hee hee, it sounds like Kate Bush sings “Ich steh’ im Café und hab Hunger” (listen to it: Bayern3) and ACDC sing “Mach ma n Kreis” (listen Bayern3).

Aren’t they lovely? The average campaign donation for Obama was 83 dollars. This time you know who the money came from.
The picture is ripped from the print edition of the article “Young and Restless” in the Financial Times of 24 October, which sweetened my ride home last night. Here is one section that will be [...]

Six Songs

Posted by Anne on October 22nd, 2008

In The World in Six Songs. How the Musical Brain Created Human Nature, Daniel J. Levitin lists six songs that inspired him in 1975 to become a musician. These are his “comfort” songs:

Autobahn by Kraftwerk
Beethoven’s Sixth Symphony as performed by Herbert von Karajan & the Berlin Philharmonic
Revolver by the Beatles (whole album)
Through my Sails [...]
