“Even if you don’t bring that cup with you
We’re gonna love you either way!”
All my best wishes to the German team and I expect that they will do it and they will return back to Germany with the Cup !!
Hi Hassan,
Thanks for dropping by and for your kind wishes. Do you like ‘the beautiful game’?
Doesn’t look too good for the Germany team, actually, they lost the game against Serbia yesterday after Klose had to leave the field and Podolski had a very bad day and kept missing the goal. (Apologies to Chris.) But you never know. As they say, “it ain’t over til it’s over”.
I thought Germany would be good losers, but at the moment the party here has come to a grinding halt. I’m hoping Mexico go far, I really enjoyed watching those wild boys play 🙂 I like Brazil of course (who doesn’t) and also Argentina, but nobody else I know does, because of Maradona. My boss says people have no sense of history, and Maradona was a cheat. At least France are out of the game. Vive la France, but Les Bleus, sorry, good riddance. Anyway, the cup needs to go to Middle or South America!
Hassan, all the best for your dissertation!
To add my mustard (!), I didn’t watch the match but have read and heard enough about it since, to get an idea of what happened. Was that ref. really so out of it? Did he have it in for the Germans? Is his palm being well polished from the east??
Could the yellows and the red for Miro (Klose) be justified?
Oh, well, let’s hope Germany can go a little bit further in the competition to keep the spirits up here, in this miserable summer weather.
